Meet the Manager
Let me introduce myself. My name is Captain Brian Cosgrove. The Manasquan River Club and Crystal Point Yacht Club have been my home away from home since 1990. Starting out as the equipment operator, and working my way up to my current capacity General Manager of Manasquan River Club and Crystal Point Yacht Club. Over the years I have had the opportunity to meet many different and nice people that were members of the two facilities, some have stayed for a few years and moved on to explore other adventures, others have stayed to make it their home away from home. In some cases I am witnessing the third generation of family being introduced to the boating way of life. Its things like that that makes working at these two fine facilities so rewarding.
For the best part of my life, I have been involved in the boating and the marine industry. I’ve owned and lived aboard vessels from the ole’ woodies to the fiberglass boats of today, both worlds apart but offer the same piece of mind, (the ole’ woodie makes for a better night sleep). I offer a broad scope of experience. At the top of the pecking order is customer service and understanding of what the member is expecting, without that all else is of little use. I am a U.S.C.G. approved 1000 ton Master licensed captain, a certified Marine Surveyor, certified in recreation and small commercial vessels, certified in accident and fraud investigation (MMSAI), certified fork lift operator, certified straddle lift operator, ABYC diesel engine course, and a master woodworker in both the marine and residential industries. Member of Sams”SA” member of the US Surveyors association, member of ABYC, and member of MTA.
In my down time I enjoy the serenity of the sea, and the rewarding sense of accomplishments in my home improvement projects. Not to mention how busy four grandchildren keep me……
May the wind always be at your back,
Capt. Brian Cosgrove
